Traditional Hungarian Pork Stew

Ingredients
800 g (1 3/4 lb) leg of pork
30 g (1 oz) lard
1 large onion, chopped
2 teaspoons paprika
2 green peppers, diced
1 tomato, diced
Salt, to taste
Preparation
Cut the meat into 2 cm chunks.
Sauté the onion in lard until opaque, remove from the heat and sprinkle with paprika. Add the meat, the green peppers and tomato, salt and stir for 1 or 2 minutes, then cover and let simmer in its own juice until it is done. If necessary add water, a little at a time.
Accompaniments
Serve with small gnocchi and salad or pickles.
